Recent cold Pacific storms have layered the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California with snow. More than a welcome sight, it represents an economic boon to local businesses that depend on ski tourism for their survival. Last year's accumulation broke a trend of early season snowfall, with less than normal accumulation throughout the rest of the winter. So far - it looks like a banner snowfall year is headed their way. Here are some black and white, medium format pictures taken on my Hasselblad.
